Choral Scholarships
Many of us will tell you that choosing to become a member of the world-famous choir of King’s College was one of the best decisions we have ever made.
If you, or anyone you know, might be interested in joining the choir as a Choral Scholar, please contact the Director of Music, Daniel Hyde, who is also Senior Treasurer of The King’s Men. He is always pleased to hear from prospective Choral and Organ Scholars and is more than willing to advise people on the choral application process at Cambridge. For more information about life as a choral scholar at King’s, please see our page on the College website at www.kings.cam.ac.uk You can get in touch with Daniel by e-mail at [email protected]. Choristerships
Do you know a boy who loves to sing and might be interested in becoming a chorister at King's?
We hold auditions at several points in the year for boys in Years 2, 3 and 4 who are interested in being choristers in King's College Choir. The choristers are educated at King's College School in Cambridge and receive generous bursaries from King's College. When we audition we look for a love of singing, a good ear, and a desire to learn: these are more important to us than a trained voice, or previous choral experience. If you would like to find out more about choristerships at King's; or would like to arrange to meet the Director of Music, Daniel Hyde, for an informal audition, please contact Caroline Walker using the email address below: E: [email protected]; W: www.kings.cam.ac.uk/choir |
